Resolves cough due to phlegm-heat or phlegm-damp, calms lungs, pacifies breathing. Can be used in acute or chronic cough where phlegm (profuse or sticky) is a component. Useful in bronchial asthma aggrevated by climatic changes. Function: Stop coughs; eliminate phlegm; moisten lung Application: Use to relieve acute or chronic cough with abundant expectoration, acute or chronic bronchitis and asthma. Note: When cough and phlegm are present due to OPI, another diaphoretic medicine should be added such as P8 Sang Ju Gan Mao Pian (Wind-Heat) or P3 Chuan Xiong Cha Tiao Wan (wind-cold).
